ACTION Theatre operates out of our home at a restored pre-war, 2-storey bungalow at 42 Waterloo Street. Conveniently accessible, right in the heart of Singapore's civic district, 42 Waterloo Street is more than a "greenhouse for the future of Singapore theatre", it is also a first-class venue for any small to medium-sized private event that needs a unique blend of privacy and a variety of function spaces.

Restored by ACTION Theatre and National Arts Council under the NAC's Arts Housing Scheme, the 42 Waterloo Street venue houses:

  • 1 intimate 100-seat studio theatre

  • 2 cozy outdoor performance spaces

  • 1 classroom

  • 1 book & CD shop

  • An acclaimed French restaurant (50 pax indoor, 60 pax al fresco)

The house is nestled amidst a lush tropical landscape with architecture that blends the rustic charms of traditional Asian homes with contemporary urban influences.
